Account Executive

The Account Development Representative assists the sales teams with outbound calling and qualifying leads generated from direct and indirect marketing campaigns. This role involves heavy call volume, email follow-up and will manage the early stages of the sales process for Marketing and Sales organizations by identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities to fuel pipeline growth. The Account Development Representative will generate opportunities from a list of target accounts within a region by calling direct on these target accounts.

General Summary of Responsibilities: As a member of the sales team, you will use your new business development experience, sales skills, energy, and resourcefulness to:



  • Aggressively qualify prospect inquiries over the phone and through e-mail regarding interest in offerings

  • Maintain close relationships and communications with assigned Field and Corporate Sales Executives to ensure their joint pipeline and territory penetration plans are aligned and are on target for exceeding monthly goals

  • Managing the activity with accuracy and integrity of our CRM tool; Salesforce.com

  • Follow up on and qualify all inbound inquiries generated by marketing or otherwise


 The key to success in this role will be mastering how to identify and properly categorize high, medium and low value leads document properly and follow-up accordingly. The ADR must have the ability to interact with various levels of technology professionals by listening to the needs of the prospect, and articulating value during the qualification process. This role is a technology-based presales role that requires the desire and initiative to master new technologies.

Qualification and Experience:



  • BA/BS Degree and a minimum of 3 years business related experience with 1+ year in telemarketing or telesales

  • Persistent outbound calling skills

  • Track record of consistently meeting high call volume requirements

  • Exceptional prospecting and qualification skills; self-starter approach to reaching target accounts and contacts

  • Proven experience in developing new opportunities through direct touch activities

  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multitask to effectively prioritize and manage workflow

  • Hands-on, ambitious professional who can bring projects to conclusion

  • SaaS background a plus

  • A technical background is not required, but the ability to quickly master basic technical concepts is a must

  • Hands-on experience utilizing Salesforce.com to manage leads, contacts, and accounts.

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Exceptional verbal communication and objection handling skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Strong computer and Internet skills with high aptitude for learning new technologies
