Director, Publisher Development

We are the engine that powers over 20 billion real-time, privacy-compliant data transactions for nearly 200 publishers and marketers every month. We make the process of accessing online audiences simple, safe, and scalable by arming data buyers and data owners with proprietary technology that automates data connections and centralizes audience management. Through our data management platform, we enable transparent, secure, private data connections for publishers, data owners and marketers. We deliver demographic, behavioral and purchase intent data on over 200M UV each month to over 50 directly integrated buyers, who seek to create a more relevant, and privacy friendly, advertising experience.

The Director of Publisher Development reports to the VP of Data and is responsible for creating, nurturing and expanding relationships with publisher partners. The Director Publisher Development will drive to bring new publishers into the eXchange. We are looking for an outgoing, analytical sales professional who builds strong relationships and loyalty with customers and co-workers.



Roles and Responsibilities

■Prospect and close online publishers to participate in the exchange
■Manage ongoing relationships with “closed” publishers
■Participate in the development of publisher focused marketing strategies and materials
■Study the market to identify potential business opportunities and business partners
■Act as a direct outreach to the agency community via participation in industry events, conferences and client entertainment activity

Requirements

■At least 5-7 years of prior experience developing senior level business partnerships with leading online publishers
■Strong rolodex of online publisher contacts and a track record of successfully selling high value, sophisticated media products including BT
■Ability to prospect, pitch and close direct sales
■Strong team building, personnel and sales management skills
■Highly analytical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks and responsibilities concurrently
■Deep understanding of the online ad industry, experience ad targeting and optimization
■Very high drive to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced, cutting edge market
■Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
■Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
■High energy and enthusiasm to develop the next big thing in internet advertising
■Impeccable honesty, integrity, and ethics
