About the role:

We're looking for designer who enjoys creating clean and simple UI but can balance that simplicity with beautiful web design. As an early member of the design team, you'll have an opportunity to help shape the vision of both the product and marketing pages. The ideal candidate can take full ownership of complex projects but also enjoys working closely with others.

We believe that giving our employees access to the right tools and technologies is an important part of getting the job done right. As a member of the company's design team, you can expect to have access to all the latest and greatest technologies.

You enjoy:

  • Developing high level user stories, prototypes, design mockups, specs, and production assets

  • Defining innovative user experiences that result in improved user productivity

  • Designing information architectures and workflows; designing responsive interfaces that will adapt to screen size, connection speed, localization, etc.

  • Researching and designing new experiences and updating existing content to enhance the viewing and content discovery experience

  • Develop pixel perfect Photoshop comps follow style guides, support style and evolve unique style of the company

  • Freedom to try out new design processes; in the spirit of agile, do what works, try new things, stop doing things that don't work; not a lot of constraints on the "creative" process

  • Working closely with other designers, product managers and developers

About you:

  • You love staying up-to-date on the current and best UI and visual design practices, trends, and technology

  • You have a strong ability to communicate your design vision through verbal explanation, sketching, or quick mock ups to small or large groups, from designers to executives.

  • Ability to balance the defense of your design decisions while taking feedback graciously and considering alternative points of view

  • You're a perennial self starter that can create schedules and define scope of work even without explicit requirements and direction

  • You understanding of base principles and limitations of CSS and HTML

  • You have a strong sense of design theory and typography are critical
