Ideal Candidate:

You will be a key hands-on member of the Tech Operations team responsible for managing our IT and Tech infrastructure. You would be working with QA and engineering on the build/deployment process, while maintaining a high performance, stable and secure infrastructure. You will also collaborate closely with Engineering to lead the future technology roadmap to identify our balance of self-hosting, managed hosting, and cloud-hosting. You have a 24x7x365 mentality (our systems never sleep), disciplined methodology, and have a strong sense of ownership of uptime and system performance. Responsibilities (What you'll bring) :

  • Expertise with a scripting language: Python, Ruby, Perl or similar

  • 2-5 years managing a Linux environment: Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu

  • Experience writing system configurations: Chef, Puppet

  • Experience rolling out an automated build, deploy and test infrastructure

  • Ability to define and track appropriate metrics that measure the health of the production environment

  • Experience with NoSQL technologies: Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis

  • Have maintained and optimized an RDBMS: MySQL

  • Support scaling our rapidly growing infrastructure

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humor (it's about having fun and enjoying the journey)

  • Comfortable with Agile development practices

  • Experience with Facebook and Twitter APIs

  • Have built out and maintained a data warehouse

  • Excellent communication skills and innate ability to pull cross-functional teams together to drive towards business purposes

  • Hands on experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ScoutApp, NewRelic, DataDog, Nagios, Logstash, Elasticsearch, or Graylog
